Food Scoot will also attempt to reduce ~$200B/yr. of food waste in the US by offering vendors an option to call a driver to transport food that would be wasted to a food bank or homeless shelter instead. This not only reduces hunger and malnutrition, it reduces methane emissions from landfills by preventing perfectly good food from going there and rotting.
